DINNER DANCE 2014

Around 80 members and guests put on their best , braved the foggy conditions (if we navigators couldn’t get there then who could)and came together to enjoy a fantastic night at HYC annual dinner, dance and presentation evening at the Willerby Manor in Hull on Saturday. All enjoyed a fabulous 3 course meal(did anyone get as many walnuts as me?) which was followed by music and dancing, the formal presentation of sailing trophies , a raffle  and then still more music and dancing up through  to midnight. The drinks flowed, people mingled and chatted and the dance floor creaked. The band ‘THE PLUGS’ where excellent and received a much deserved standing ovation at the end of the night. Some regulars were sadly missing , but hopefully we will see you all next year.

The donation envelopes/raffle raised a breath taking  £536.70 , amazing for the numbers attending . Your generosity both on the night and to those that donated raffle prizes speaks volumes of you and the club and is much appreciated by the organisers and will no doubt be thankfully  received  by this years beneficiaries the RNLI.
